The celebratory event, organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Information and the Commission of Culture and Sports, was attended by Ambassador Mahmud Ali Hirui, Governor of the Gash Barka Region, senior government officials in the region, Army Commanders, religious leaders, and public representatives from the Gerenfit administrative area.
Extending his best wishes for a happy Kudus Yohannes Holiday, Mr. Idris Saleh, Director General of Culture and Sports in the Gash Barka Region, said that Kudus Yohannes is one of the religious holidays that reflect the noble culture and values of the Eritrean people. He added that the holiday was particularly special as it coincided with the Golden Jubilee of the beginning of the armed struggle for independence and the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Revolution School.
The celebratory event featured cultural and artistic presentations by the Aser cultural troupe and a traditional cultural troupe from the Brar administrative area.
